We have a batch job that runs every few minutes to trigger a sftpg3 connection from an AIX client to a windows server.
Sometimes the logon process for one of the jobs hangs at the password prompt, thereby causing subsequent sftpg3 logon processes to hang while waiting for the first to complete - since the connection broker knows that this is from the same user.
Question is what is causing this first job to hang at the password prompt ( it is using a password file) and how to prevent subsequent jobs from being affected by the first?
sftpg3.bin: SSH Tectia Client 6.1.3 on powerpc-ibm-aix220.127.116.11 Build: 44 Product: SSH Tectia Client License type: commercial SFT API: 2.0.3 (build 18.104.22.168)
You can use the --exclusive switch, so each new connection (regardless of user name) opens via a new servant. This should allow each connection to work, regardless if one hangs.
For the "hanging" issue its self, I suggest taking a client debug and opening a ticket with support so we can review why this is happening.
Thanks, James Wright
