We are trying to connect to the UNIX(AIX) Server using the SSH Tectia Client 6.0.5.7. We are running this from a remote desktop through Citrix. When we are doing this, we are getting a message in the Status bar as "Requesting New Channel...Please wait..."and then SSH Tectia Client is hanging. We were killing that using the TaskManager.

Is there any solution? Please provide us some help.

Hi,

If the connection hangs at "requesting new channel" the broker is unable to connect to server, and then timeouts. Are you able to ping the server you are trying to connect too? From the AIX server, do you see the connection attempt?

Thanks for responding.

Yes, I have pinged the server and I was able to get the response from the AIX server. Also, I have tried connecting it from the Putty. Its working. Only through Tectia, I am having this problem.

On the host where Tectia Client is running, are there other users logged in at the same time via remote desktop to the same user account?

If so this could cause problems for broker in 6.0.x versions of client. The password prompt might showing up in the other user's session for example. I believe this issue is resolved in later versions of client (6.1.x) but would need to check this.

Citrix environments are not actually listed as supported with Tectia Client since the client has not been tested on those. Reason being that we haven't received many requests from our customers to run Tectia on those.

Hello Roman,

Thanks for your help. You are correct some of the remote login seesions were not completely terminated. Like you said, when I activated, the older remote login sessions Tectia Client was prompting for password.

I have been having the same problem with version 6.1.9.95.

I can connect with Quick Connect, but when I add a profile record and try to connect, I also get the "requesting new channel" issue. Normally I would connect with DNS name (like I did in Quick Connect), but I have also tried connecting by IP address. Nothing works using the saved profile.

Any ideas?
