The SSH Tectia Server 4.4.7 Linux package is designed for 32-bit x86 architecture, but it has been tested to also work on the 64-bit x86 architecture with certain restrictions.

When installing SSH Tectia Server 4.4.7 on a native 64-bit version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, some Red Hat 32-bit compatibility libraries (for example for PAM and Kerberos) are required.

Note: PAM-tally library does not work when running SSH Tectia Server 4.4.7 on a native 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Solution: During the installation, select "Legacy Support" and verify that the following 32-bit compatible packages are installed:

cracklib-dicts-2.7-29

cracklib-2.7-29

audit-libs-1.0.3-6.EL4

pam-0.77-66.11

libtermcap-2.0.8-39

krb5-libs-1.3.4-17

e2fsprogs-1.35-12.2.EL4

The 32-bit compatible packages are included on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 installation media.

For GSSAPI authentication to work, you need to make the following symbolic links, as the library file names are different:

/usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so -> libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2 /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2 -> libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2 /usr/lib/libgssrpc.so.3 -> libgssrpc.so.3.0
