The SSH Tectia server service cannot be started. If Manual Start is done it goes back to Stopped state. Event log shows "111 Servant_error, Pod:3300", claiming an error reading initial configuration due to invalid permissions for the host key file. But the host key file and containing folder are accessible. How do I fix this?

I suppose this is referring to Tectia Server on Windows.

Was this an upgrade from a 4.x server?

Check the ACL (security permissions) on the hostkey (under Program Files\SSH Communications\SSH Tectia Server\hostkey).

In 6.x versions of the server the hostkey requires that full permissions are allowed only for the Administrators group and the SYSTEM account, and no other permissions are set at all.

Also the owner of they hostkey must be an admin account.

I resolved this problem using the server admin manual.
