How to remove SSH Tectia Client from Add/Remove Programs manually

If the Client uninstallation has not succeeded and the software is still visible in Control Panel Add/Remove Programs after the uninstallation, you can remove the entry manually by opening the Windows registry and removing the key that includes SSH Tectia Client from the following registry path. Do not remove the Uninstall entry containing all keys. Under the path the key names are unique and you can search for the correct folder by using the Find functionality in the registry editor.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

For example, the full path to the correct key can look like the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall{74E2CD0C-D4A2-11D3-95A6-0000E86CFDE5}

This key includes the DisplayName attribute containing SSH Tectia Client.

Please note that it is not recommended editing the registry unless you have first created a backup of all your valuable information. If you are not comfortable editing the registry, please ask your IT staff for assistance.
