At the time of writing this answer (April 17, 2015), ActivClient (latest version: 7.02) has so far not provided support for Elliptic Curve keys and certificates stored in smart cards.

Until ActivClient provides the support, you will not be able to access Elliptic Curve certificates via MSCAPI (Microsoft CryptoAPI) or PKCS#11 using ActivClient drivers.

If you uninstall ActivClient, you can access Elliptic Curve keys and certificates using MSCAPI.
