I am running Tectia Server 6.3.2.33 on Windows 2003 R2 Service Pack 2. I am using local Windows accounts for Tectia user accounts. Tectia server has been installed on my server since 11/29/2012. In the past Tectia would stop responding every couple months and we’d have to reboot the server). However, recently the server has had to be rebooted every couple days. This last weekend it was rebooted 7 times.

I checked and no changes have been made to the server since Windows updates were last applied on 11/19/2013. I have checked our performance charts (gathered by Nagios) and they show consistent levels of available RAM and CPU. I’ve checked the Windows System log on the server and it shows nothing unusual around the time of the Tectia outages.

In the Application log, I see the following errors (server name and IPs removed)

Event Type: Failure Audit Event Source: SSH Tectia Server Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 4/6/2014 Time: 9:13:39 PM User: N/A Computer:
Description: 411 Login_failure, Username: , Reason: By application, Src IP:, Dst IFace: listener, Dst IP:, Src Port: 1744, Dst Port: 22, "The operation was not completed within the specified time limit, Remote Disconnect", Session-Id: 3016

Event Type: Failure Audit Event Source: SSH Tectia Server Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 4/6/2014 Time: 9:16:59 PM User: N/A Computer:
Description: 411 Login_failure, Username: , Reason: Connection lost, Src IP:, Dst IFace: listener, Dst IP:, Src Port: 51727, Dst Port: 22, "Connection lost, Local Disconnect", Session-Id: 3040

Event Type: Information Event Source: SSH Tectia Server Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 4/6/2014 Time: 9:16:59 PM User: N/A Computer:
Description: 402 Disconnect, Reason: Connection lost, Src IP:, Dst IFace: listener, Dst IP:, Src Port: 51727, Dst Port: 22, "Connection lost, Local Disconnect", Session-Id: 3040

After the server is rebooted, the same IPs can connect successfully, no changes were made other than rebooting the server. Also, just restarting the Tectia Server service does not resolve the issue. The whole server has to be rebooted.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

I am running Tectia Server 6.3.2.33 on Windows 2003 R2 Service Pack 2. There is no "User Profile Service", do you mean the "Security Accounts Manager" service? If so, during the Tectia outage, I am able to RDC to the server and log in with a local account, therefor the SAM service is functional during the time Tectia crashes.
