Can a 6.0 client connect to a 6.1 server? Can a 6.1 client connect to a 6.0 server?

The short answer is most definitely yes.

The long answer is that there is nothing in the code that prevents a 6.0 client to connect to a 6.1 server or vice versa. This also applies to any version of Tectia (or any SSH implementation) that are based on the SSH2 protocol.

Newer versions might of course have support for new encryption ciphers or macs which older clients may not support, but nothing like this between 6.0 and 6.1.
