Hi, We are using J2SSH API to connect to tectia server using Java code. We have generated the private/public key on client machine (on which we will run java code) and have put the public key at tectia server.
J2SSH API only supports OpenSSH-private key format. So, I think, we will need to convert the key generated by tectia client to OpenSSH format and then try connecting using java code. This should work. correct?
I am not finding any way to convert tectia client private key to openSSH format on windows.
Please give your suggestions on this.
Any guidance will be highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot. Ramesh
There's no need to convert the key to Tectia format. Tectia Server supports keys in OpenSSH format as well (since version 5.1 of Tectia). You can upload the public key that was generated with J2SSH to Tectia Server and it should work.
See this link on how to upload an OpenSSH key to Tectia Server: http://answers.tectia.com/questions/153/openssh-to-tectia-key-setup
