I'm running SSH Tectia client v 6.1.0.668 on Windows 7. I created one profile, but cannot add any more or edit. When I attempt to, dialog box says 'Error launching the configuration editor'. How can I fix this? Thanks,

I don't know what the source of the problem can be, but try to launch the configuration editor manually. Type the following in cmd.exe:

> "C:\Program Files (x86)\SSH Communications Security\SSH Tectia\SSh-tectia-configuration.exe"

on 64 bit windows or

> "C:\Program Files\SSH Communications Security\SSH Tectia\SSh-tectia-configuration.exe"

on 32 bit windows.

Does it help?

That certainly helps me troubleshoot the issue. I am running 64 bit windows, but the "SSH Communications Security" directory is in "Program Files (x86)". Anyway, drilling down into there, I found the exe at "C:\Program Files (x86)\SSH Communications Security\SSH Tectia\SSH Tectia Broker" Running that exe from cmd works, and gives me an acceptable workaround. Would be nice to know how to tell the client exe where to find the config exe so it could run from inside the client. Thanks!

Hi noface1, I dug into bug database and found that in version 6.1.x there have been issues of similar kind. I believe they are all fixed in latest versions. But even in 6.1.x it usually works if ssh-client-g3 is started with the working directory set to its original value in the start menu shortcut. That is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SSH Communications Security\SSH Tectia\SSH Tectia Broker\".
