I'm using Red Hat Enterprise Linux & SSH Tectia. The SSH client is configured to use xterm when connecting. Unfortunately I cannot use 256 colors with VIM using SSH Tectia client.

My configuration:

  • Enabled ANSI Colors

  • Terminal: xterm

May I ask if SSH Tectia supports 256 colors at all? If yes, how can I get that? Thanks.
