Hello,

We run Tectia Server (v.6.3.2.33) for SSH-based FTP services. I've been asked to accomodate SSL-based FTP (FTPS) connections as well.
I opened the Tectia SSH Server Configuration tool and entered the information for our Verisign certificate on the Identity page. I then applied the changes.

However, when I try and connect with an FTP client (and I've tried 3 or 4 different ones, including filezilla, ws_ftp pro and putty), I get the following error:
403 Version_exchange_failure, Error: Protocol error, Src IP: 207.61.y.y, Dst IFace: SFTP, Dst IP: 192.168.2.37, Src Port: 4699, Dst Port: 990, "Version exchange failed: Error while reading client's version string."

On the client, I see:
Finding Host ftp.company.com ...
Connecting to 206.172.x.x:990
Connected to 206.172.x.x:990 in 0.015625 seconds, Waiting for Server Response
Initializing SSL Session ...
SSL session NOT set for reuse
SSL Connect error 2:
Connect Failed.
SSL Connect Failed
Host type (1): Automatic Detect

So my question is, does Tectia server support FTPS? And if so, how do I properly configure it and overcome this 'client version string' error?

Thanks,
Greg
