I know versions 4 and 6 are very far appart, but it is odd anyway. sftp2 version 4.0.4 will allow me to lcd to an UNC path and transfer files, whereas version 6.2 will not allow me to do so:

On version 4.0.4:
sftp2 myuser@myserver
sftp2> lcd \windowsserver\share
put somefile.txt
... And all goes well.
On Version 6.2
sftp2 myuser@myserver
sftp2> lcd \windowsserver\share No error message here
put somefile.txt
Error: The system cannot find the file specified. , file: //windowsserver/share(somefile.txt)
sftp2> put \windowsserver\share\somefile.txt Works as expected.

I have several scripts that do exactly that, lcd, then put.
I cannot upgrade since the latest version breaks all scripts... and I would really appreciate an elegant solution.
