Hi, from one of my windows applications i have to invoke ssh tectia ftp session to get files from a unix remote machine to local windows desktop. The ftp session shouldn't be an interactive mode. Now, which utility is better for this purpose, scpg3.exe or sftpg3.exe ?

v6.0 and v6.2 doc says: "sftpg3 (sftpg3.exe on Windows) is an FTP-like client that can be used for secure file transfer over the network"

v6.0 also says: "However, it should be noted that sftpg3 is not designed to be a drop-in replacement for an FTP client. It is an application that implements secure file transfer functionality and has most features that common FTP applications have."

I am using v6.0

What's the difference between these two utilities?

Thanks, -srinivas yelamanchili
