Special items for this release are:

  • Added support for Unbreakable Oracle Linux in Tectia Client, Server and ConnectSecure.
  • Added partial support for IPv6 in SSH Client and ConnectSecure. By default, both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are used.
  • IPv6 is currently not supported in:
  • Transparent Tunneling
  • FTP Tunneling
  • Certificate Authentication
  • Radius Authentication
  • TCP Transparent tunneling optional feature has been dropped from the SSH Tectia Client for Windows. From now on it can only be found in SSH Tectia ConnectSecure.

New features in Tectia SSH Server

  • Oracle Linux: Added support for Unbreakable Oracle Linux in Tectia Client/Server/ConnectSecure.

Bug fixes in Tectia SSH Server

  • Documentation: Updated ssh-server-config-default.xml to reflect the current default values of the server.
  • All Platforms: Server no longer crashes during user certificate authentication when the file cert-cache-file is used and it contains an expired CRL.
  • Windows: Now it is possible again to use forced commands with the option "interactive=yes" and not specify a remote command when establishing the connection.
  • Windows: SSH servant no longer leaks token handles when the server is set to terminate user started processes on session close.

New features in Tectia SSH Client and ConnectSecure

  • Oracle Linux: Added support for Unbreakable Oracle Linux in Tectia Client/Server/ConnectSecure.
  • All Platforms: Added partial support for IPv6 in SSH Client and ConnectSecure. By default, both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are used. IPv6 is currently not supported in:

Bug fixes in Tectia Client and ConnectSecure

  • All Platforms: Certificate/key chooser no longer always prompts for PIN or passphrase for all tokens, smartcards, and PKCS#12 blobs available.
  • All Platforms: Access control settings are checked after /tmp/ssh-<user> directory is created and set to 0700 if the access rights are too permissive.
  • Windows: Improved overall stability on GUI components.

New features in Tectia SSH Server for IBM z/OS

  • z/OS: Added license logic in z/OS Client and Server. From this release onwards, a license file will be needed to run SSH Tectia Client or Server. Please contact Sales or Support for obtaining the license.

Bug fixes in Tectia SSH Server for IBM z/OS

  • Documentation: Corrected the steps to follow for enabling debug messages from the sft server.
  • z/OS: Hashed hostkeys created with a previous release of Tectia Client/Server/ConnectSecure than 6.2.0 will not work if upgrading to Tectia Client/Server/ConnectSecure 6.2.0, 6.2.1, 6.2.2, 6.2.3, or 6.2.4. Those hashed hostkeys will work again from this version onwards.
  • z/OS: The SSHSP startup script now checks whether the socket directory exists and if it does not exist, the script creates one. Therefore, Tectia SSH Broker no longer fails to start if the directory does not exist.
  • z/OS: File is no longer always truncated when client sends the required size on open.
