We're running Tectia on Widows 2003 Server. When we connect using Putty, Xshell or other SSH clients we can't get the display to work properly for any full-screen programs like VI. (after SSH login, we run MKS shell). Our settings work fine when connecting to a Unix box, but not when connecting to Tectia on Windows. We have tried vt100, vt220, vt320, ansi, ansi-m, linux, xterm, scoansi, lft terminal types from the client wihout success. Normal command line if fine, but anything that tried to do more than that (VI, more, etc) displays partially, as junk, or in some cases is so bad we have to kill the session. We need to be able to edit files etc.

Does anyone have ideas? What full-screen using commands should work from the SSH connection (when you first connect,l before running MKS)?

Thanks in advance, Rich

Hi Rich,

Unfortunately full screen console-based applications are not currently supported on Tectia Server for Windows.

We have seen a couple of similar issues in the past. However the majority of our customers are using native applications over SSH on Windows rather than Unix-like subsystems so support for this has not been a high priority for us.
