login about faq

I've just upgraded from ssh 5.x to 6.1.6.9 on Windows 7. When I try to launch either the sftp or ssh client, I get a broker error message that says "SSH broker is not running, please start broker first".

Isn't the broker supposed to launch automatically? Is there something I can set to make that happen?

thanks

Hi Martina,

That's odd. Indeed the connection broker should be launched automatically after user login. You can verify this by opening up task manager. There should be a process called ssh-broker-gui.exe

Are you still seeing this after a system reboot? If so, do you see any errors in the windows application event log?

In case this is a problem with a previous configuration, could you try renaming the ssh broker configuration file so that it starts with the default configuration and try again? The broker configuration can be found under:

%APPDATA%\SSH\ssh-broker-config.xml
