login about faq

Hello,

We have a remote machine on which there is an administrator account. Now using the Tectia GUI Client(quickconnect) from a different machine , it can login using the proper hostname and username in the format

computer9\administrator

for example. This works fine.

Even the the command

sftpg3 computer9\administrator@remotehostname

works fine. But when the same is done using Java API then authentication error 501 occurs. The sftp url in Java application is something like:

sftp://computer9\administrator@remotehostname/filepath

Is this correct way to specify the username prefixed like this in sftp ?.

I would like to further add that we have no problems when using domain accounts and the sftp protocol works fine in the java application.

Thanks
