Host key for the host "Remote-server" not found from database.
After setting up the Publick key encryption, for the first time when I connect and select option Save, it would create an entry in the .ssh2/hostkeys/ folder as key_22_remoteserver.pub
When I try connecting second time, it again promtps me: Please select how you want to proceed. cancel) Cancel the connection. once) Proceed with the connection but do not save the key. save) Proceed with the connection and save the key for future use.
The publick key on remote server is in openssh format. And the entry in hostkeys on client is in Tectia format.
Please help me to fix the issue: Host key for the host "Remote-server" not found from database. As this causes failue for me in automated scripts that executed thru scheduler as it keeps asking input.
Note: Its not prompting for password and when I enter save/once it connects without any issue. This can be only for manual execution on command prompt.
I think you might be running into a bug where if the hostkey of the server was not saved in all lowercase, for example by connecting the first time to
then the client would always prompt to save they key again.
This was fixed in version 6.0.8.
If this is the case it should be fixed by just deleting the saved hostkey (.ssh2/hostkeys/key_22_remoteserver.pub) and connecting again to the server using all lowercase for the server name.
Can you try if this is the case?
