On my AIX server, the log messages of SSH Tectia Server appear on the console. How to fix this?

This is a known issue in Tectia Server versions 6.0.4 to 6.0.7 on AIX platforms.

When running the Tectia server binary directly, the expected behavior is that the log messages are written to the console. But when running the server as a subsystem from AIX SRC, this is not the desired behavior. Tectia Server versions 6.0.4 to 6.0.7 have a bug that causes log messages to be written to the console even when the server is run as a subsystem.

The issue is fixed in version 6.0.8 and later.

Alternatively, as a workaround in the affected versions, you can redirect the server's stdin, stderr, and stdout to /dev/null

# chssys -s ssh-tectia-server -i /dev/null -o /dev/null -e /dev/null
