login about faq

I need to put a file in memory to a specific folder, as opposed to the home folder of the server I am connecting to.

This is being coded in c sharp. using secureblackbox dlls.

should I perform an OpenDirectory first to change the directory, and then do an OpenStream/Putsteream(filename)

(does the OpenDirectory change the directory that the OpenSteam/PutStream uses?)

or should I just add the destination folder to the OpenStream/PutStream(path/filename)

I would prefer the first option, as my application caters for both FTP and SFTP, and I don't want to make changes in the main part of the application as this would affect the performance.

Thanks for any advice.
