What is the difference between the version 6.1 and 6.3 of the SSH Client/Server/ConnectSecure?

SSH Tectia Client/Server/ConnectSecure 6.3 has been released the 25th June 2012, and it contains the following new features in relation to 6.1:

  • Architectural changes to improve the stability and efficiency of Client and Server.
  • SHA-2 support
  • IPv6 support
  • Broker GUI separation
  • Added limited i18n support
  • Improved performance, specially on z/OS and Windows
  • New license model in z/OS
  • New Authorization method to access network shares on windows with non-interactive authentication
  • Usage of OpenSSL crypto in FIPS mode
  • New "Servant Lifetime" feature, to improve server stability.
  • Added functionality to ssh-server-ctl and ssh-broker-ctl to improve troubleshooting and usability.
