Can you post the error messages that the server is logging when the key is rejected?

Can you post more information from the server logs when this key is being rejected? The above message is not enough to say what the problem might be. It would be easier to troubleshoot this if you post some of the messages the server outputs when running in troubleshooting mode and when attempting to authenticate using this key. See here for info on how to start the 4.x Tectia Server in troubleshooting mode.

Haven't used puttygen before, but I guess it generates keys in OpenSSH format. If the key that was generated is in OpenSSH format it will not work against Tectia Server version 4.1.

Newer versions of Tectia (6.0 and newer) work with keys in either Tectia or OpenSSH format.

You can try converting the key to Tectia format (On the OpenSSH server) using something like:

ssh-keygen -e -f ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub > ~/.ssh/id_dsa_ssh2.pub

and upload the generated key (id_dsa_ssh2.pub) as described here.
